Comateens were proud to be a part of the Museum of the City of New York’s year-long exhibition, New York, New Music: 1980–1986. The show highlighted a diverse musical scene; from Run DMC to the Talking Heads, from Madonna to John Zorn. The show explored the broader music and cultural scene, the innovative media outlets, venues, record labels, fashion and visual arts centered in New York City in those years.

A wall-sized photo of an actual 80’s rock poster-wall graced the entrance of the exhibition, and featured Comateens band flyers for a show at Manhattan’s Rocker Room among other NYC bands.
